Jannie M. Roehm, 50, of Baldwinsville passed away Thursday. Jannie was born on January 3, 1958 in Passua, Germany. For six years, she fought a courageous and dignified battle with breast cancer. Jannie was a Third Degree Black Belt and was employed since 1992 with LaVallee’s USA Black Belt Champions. Survivors include her husband and best friend, of 23 years, Richard; her daughters and son-in-laws, Nancy and Doug Ruetsch and Tonya and Paul Kuropatwinski; her parents Erwin and Elfriede Wines; her sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Mike Faulkner; her sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Kathleen Roehm, Susan and Keith Wiley and Mary Ellen and Steven Garnett; her niece, Willow Faulkner; her nephews, Jacob, Joshua and Justin Wiley and Jack Roehm. Jannie is also the Proud Grandmother of two granddaughters, Ava and Sara and of her grandson, Rowan.
Calling hours will be Sunday 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd. Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 215 N. State St., Syracuse. Burial will be private in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Contributions may be made to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY.
